In our previous projects, fiber-optic was chosen as the transmission medium, with a central relay-controlled video matrix. For this latest project, Tungpo Technology utilizes the all new Digital IP Network Video Control and Monitoring Solution. The entire system consists of 130 IndigoVision MPEG-4 VideoBridge8000 Encoder / Decoder. 48 of these encoders will be installed with weather-proof CCTV cameras with water wiper and privacy protection mask feature. Privacy Protection Masking is an important feature, especially in monitoring in urban area. In China, majority of city CCTV project requires some privacy protection feature. The 48 cameras that we will provide for this project features dynamic privacy protection masking, meaning that the protected area will resize dynamically according to lens movement, lens size. Each camera also feature casing with two wipers.
For IP Digital Control and Monitroing, compressed video signals will be transmitted via Metro IP Network to Hong Kong Department of Transport Control Centers. In each of the eight control centers spread across different area in Hong Kong, Indigovision VideoBridge8000 decoder will translate the network signal into video signal output to any monitor or display. Control, configuration and maintenance for the entire system can be done using IndigoVision Control Center Software. To achieve functions of an IP video Matrix, video signal from each camera will be recorded into IndigoVision Digital Network Harddisk Network Video Recorder (NVR). User can playback recorded video at any authorized point. Furthermore, video signals can be broadcast to Department of Transport website, made available for the general public. Quality of either real-time video feeds or recorded video from NVR will be hard to differentiate from traditional CCTV System Video.
In the new digital system, user can replay and search recorded video from any camera using one monitor., conveniently replaying recorded video from different time-frame. Data Protection is also a more complete solution, providing features impossible for traditional video recorder to match. IndigoVision D1 System ensures video over the IP Network up to 25 frames per second, with minimal network utilization. Other modern DVR systems will find it hard to compete on this quality constrain.
